Message de Rinpoche au sujet du décès de "His Holiness Kyabje Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche"

Amitabha Foundation
Govt. Regd. No. 207/O61/62
H.E. ‘Choeje’ Ayang Rinpoche Lama
Founder/Chairman

December 27, 2011

Dear Sangha and friends,

We are extremely sad to hear that His Holiness Kyabje Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche passed into parinirvana last night, December 26, 2011. On behalf of the Amitabha Foundations worldwide, the Drikung Charitable Society in India, and the associated Kagyud Thupten Shedrub Jangchubling Monastic Institute, I send my sincere condolences to Dungse Rinpoche’s family members, disciples and students throughout the world.
Dungse Thinley Nurbu Rinpoche was the eldest son of His Holiness Jigdral Yeshe Dolje, Dudjom Rinpoche, the former head of the Nyingma lineage. For many years, Dungse Thínley Norbu Rinpoche taught the Buddha dharma in America as well as throughout the Himalayan area, introducing many students to Dzogchen through his personal instruction and incomparable writings. I myself was fortunate to take teachings from Dungse Rìnpoche’s father, His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche, and so have a connection with the lineage that Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche carried.

It is said that Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche left a message asking that everyone connected with him do Vajrasalïva practice for three weeks after his passing. As all Great Masters are one in their wisdom minds, every student of the Buddha dharma, irrespective of the lineage of teachings they are following, is actually connected with Rinpoche without any need for sectarian prejudice. Hence through this practice we all have the opportunity of connecting with his wisdom mind and receiving his blessings, even though he has now left his physical body behind and merged with the ineffable Dharmakaya.. If you have taken the Outer, Inner, Secret and Innermost Secret Vajrasattva teachings, or the Vajrasattva associated with the Nyingma Phowa, or know the practice of Vajrasattva from the Preliminary Practices (Ngondro), then I request that you practice Vajrasattva every day for the next three Weeks. This of course is not in any way to benefit such a great, realized being as Dungse ThinleyNorbu Rinpoche, but to increase your own
merit and wisdom to benefit all sentient beings.

May he continue to inspire countless devoted disciples that they may completely accomplish their practice. May his enlightened activity spread through his descendants and his golden lineage. May he be reborn swiftly in order for Buddha dharma may flourish and he may continue to benefit countless beings.

With my prayers,
H.E. Choeje Ayang Rinpoche
